Sales for the month of September remained well ahead of sales in the same month from a year ago. Many agents I’ve spoken with remain very optimistic for the rest of the year, as the stats show. Recently I’ve presented several offers on properties that ended up getting multiple offers! Yes I said multiple, no the fast pace easy breezy days of 2006 and 2007 are not here again. But, things have greatly improved and returned to a normal healthy market.
What does this mean for you? Well, if your in the market to sell, now is one of the best times to get in the market. Why, you may ask. Well you see most sellers think spring is the best time to sell. It may be true that more homes sell during that time but think about how many other homes you will have to compete with. Fall we see fewer homes come on the market and in a market like we have today were we see things in much better shape than we have for the past two years, now may be your golden opportunity. Plus, buyers in the fall are more serious than say tire kickers in the spring.
If you’re a buyer, you still have a good amount of inventory to choose from, historic low interest rates, plus fewer buyers in the market this time of year so you have time to really find the perfect property. Now with that said, a well priced home in a desirable area, will always sell quickly in any market condition!
